Markayla is a rising senior at Langston University, majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in event management. With a strong background in planning and coordinating events, she brings a unique mix of creativity, organization, and purpose to every project she takes on.

On campus, Markayla has led the development of numerous engaging events that not only entertain but also educate and inspire. Her events are known for being thoughtfully curated, community-centered, and rooted in meaningful impact.

Beyond Langston, she works with local organizations and nonprofits to support causes close to her heart—including mental health awareness, voter education, and economic empowerment in Black communities. Her commitment to advocacy is reflected in the way she uses events as a tool to bring people together and spark important conversations.

Markayla plans to pursue a career as a professional event planner, focusing on mission-driven events that uplift underrepresented voices and foster lasting change. Her passion, experience, and dedication make her a rising leader in both business and community spaces.
